Tales of Tarium - 6 month update
Hello there.
Well it was quite some time since the last but we've been actively working on the project still. Just a lot of fixing bugs and creating some major ground in the foundation on our game, which means that from here on now will have a much stable schedule on our updates. Whe're going to start post updates every two weeks and in each iteration were delivering some changes to the game as a whole. But enough of that lets head to the changes:
Main Menu
We actually created some fire shader this time and added some bloom effect.
Options Menu
We remade the entire options menu. It didnt fit well with the rest of the game on our perspective so we recreated it and made possible to save the configs and make it persist troughout playtrough.
Localization
We're localizing the entire game so some bits might be not fully translated yet.
Lighting
The last version we didn't give the proper attention to the lightning of the game as a whole, so we focused a lot to join our hand painted style with some lightning effects.
Dialogue
We created an entire different dialogue system on the background , that allows more flexibility while designing it. In adition the whole window was changed to accomodate the new features.
Dissolve
One problem we had was that in some situations the center of the camera was completely out of sight, so we created an dissolve shader that helps in this occasions.
Draggin Components
Some components overlapped each other in the previous version. Now some of our HUD is actually draggable allowing it to be always visible.
Moving Camera & Focus Camera
The main camera is fully movable using the WASD keys. And by touching the portrait on the right the camera goes back and set focus on the leader.
AP Walk Based on Distance
While in battle the cost of walking is based upon the distance youre setting . And the path choosen to walk is also showed.
Running
Depending upon the distance of the click the character whil actually run to that destination.
And there's the minor such as:
New Skills.
New Animations.
New Textures.
Description for Buffs & Debuffs.
Optmizing the gameplay.
Post Processing added.
Setup created.
Bug fixes.
